Set up & Lighting

Set up the 2 acrylic sign holders with the welcome sign & directions and the correct QR code for your photoshoot.

The QR code is in your photo shoot reminder email (sent from GYB) a few days before the shoot and should be printed out by you.

Designate an area where members can scan their QR code, begin filling out their digital forms, and wait to have their photos taken.

Set up your backdrop and lighting according to the diagram below. After set up, test your settings & lighting. Adjust as necessary.

Cropping & Examples

Follow these guidelines:

  • The subject is centered on the backdrop.
  • The bottom of the frame is just above the subject’s belly button.
  • There is adequate space above the subject’s head.
  • The subject’s arms are near, but not touching the outer edges of the frame.
  • Keep your cropping consistent without zooming in or out.

The Shot List

  1. You should take 5 shots of each member:
    • 2 shots to the right.
    • 1 shot straight on.
    • 2 shots to the left.

Each member should have at least one photo that they LOVE. You can always take more than 5 if needed.

Ensure that the subject’s ears are fully visible when posing, unless hidden by their hair. The subject should be facing forward despite shoulder turn. This is required for proper back-end editing and processing.
